chris crye

Executive Director

chris.crye@nextchapterlacrosse.org

Chris Crye is the Executive Director of Next Chapter of La Crosse. He is ordained with the Evangelical Free Church of America and as the founding pastor of Neighborhood City Church has ministered on the southside of La Crosse for 18 years with a focus on building an ethnically diverse Christ centered community in our increasingly diverse community. In those years of ministry he has sought to be a voice on behalf of those who are voiceless in our neighborhoods as a member of the La Crosse County Family Policy Board’s Economic Security Committee and Western Region Wisconsin Works (W-2) Community Steering Committee, as well as participating in the development of the La Crosse Area Family Collaborative and La Crosse County Youth System of Care. He has also had the privilege of being a part of a committed core of Christ-followers in the La Crosse area conducting Bible studies and meetings with persons incarcerated in the La Crosse county jail and beyond. This has stirred in Chris a passion to see those whom the Lord has impact while they are incarcerated overcome the personal, institutional and societal barriers they face in the transition from jail to the outside world of church, family and community. Along with his wife Roxy he is the father of four married children and the grandfather of eight.
